VoraControl overview

What VoraControl covers: control plans, inspection capture, SPC trends and out-of-spec follow-up, and how the main menu areas fit together.

VoraControl is the quality control product in VoraSuite: control plans, inspection capture, SPC trends and out-of-spec follow-up. It opens at /control with a Quality and Process Control landing page that shows quality signals computed from your recent submitted measurements, plus a list of items that need attention.

How the pieces connect

Everything in VoraControl hangs off the released control plan. You define characteristics against operations, generate a control plan revision from that source data, and release it. Inspectors then capture measurements against the released plan, each sample carries the specification limits it was judged against, and out-of-spec results hand off to Resolve so the response is recorded next to the signal. Trends, Reports and Management all read from those same capture records.

The main menu areas

  • Characteristics: the register of measurement points, each linked to a part and operation with its class, type and tolerance.
  • Plan: the plan library, plan rules and revision history. Control plan revisions are generated from source data and exported or printed from here.
  • Capture: direct measurement capture against a released plan, with instant in-spec or out-of-spec feedback and a full capture history.
  • Gauges / Methods: the gauge register with calibration tracking and MSA studies, plus the inspection method list.
  • Resolve: the exception register where out-of-spec results are reviewed, owned, root-caused and closed.
  • Trends: SPC signals and Cp/Cpk capability, computed per characteristic from the capture records.
  • Reports: management reports over the Resolve exception records, with CSV download and a print view.
  • System: SPC settings and page settings.
  • Management: a supervisor view of measurement activity, result mix, issue status and needs-attention items.

The landing page signals

The /control landing page shows Process at a glance gauges built from the latest submitted measurements: out-of-spec pressure, possible drift share, capability readiness and data maturity. These are the same figures the Trends dashboard computes, summarized for a quick daily read. If your site has no captures yet, the gauges simply do not appear.

Where to start

A typical setup order is: record your characteristics against their operations, generate and release the control plan, confirm gauges and methods under Gauges / Methods, then start capturing. The other areas fill themselves from the records that capture creates.

Access

What you see in VoraControl depends on your permissions in the active organization and site. If a menu area is missing, ask your administrator to review your access under VoraCore Team.
