Inspector capture floor mode
The big-touch capture kiosk at /control/capture/floor: pick the part, walk the operation, record samples with instant feedback, and ride out wifi drops.
The capture kiosk is a purpose-built shop-floor mode for quality inspectors, made for a tablet or phone at the machine. It lives at /control/capture/floor and replaces the cockpit with a big-touch screen: no sidebar, no menus to get lost in, just the released measurement work for your site.
Who lands here
A floor inspector account (capture-only access) lands straight in the kiosk on sign-in and cannot open the cockpit. A cockpit user who can submit captures gets an opt-in Floor view button on the Capture page, and inside the kiosk an Exit floor control to return; a locked floor inspector does not see Exit floor.
The capture flow
The kiosk asks who the work is for: pick the customer, then search the part by number or description. Walk the operation, pick the characteristic and choose Enter readings. Each saved reading is judged instantly against the released plan limits, in spec or out of spec, right on the screen. You can add optional job details (shift, machine or cell, job number, lot number) before saving the capture.
Working through connection drops
Shop floors have wifi dead zones, and the kiosk is built to ride them out. When the connection drops, a Working offline indicator appears and you keep capturing: entries are kept on the device, judged against the plan limits already loaded, and sync automatically when the connection returns, carrying who did the work and the true entry time. The kiosk shows the pending state until everything is synced, then confirms that all captures are synced.
The kiosk is a continuity feature: it rides out drops, it does not run without a connection from cold. It needs a connection to sign in and load its working set of released plans and limits; after that it keeps working through drops. If the device was signed out or never loaded the site data, connect first.
