Site context and switching
How VoraSuite scopes your data to one site at a time, where the site switcher lives in the topbar, and what changes when you switch site.
Everything you see in VoraSuite is scoped to one company and one site at a time. The active site shows in the topbar on every signed-in page, and if you have access to more than one site, the site name becomes a switcher you can change at any time.
Why data is site scoped
A site is an operating plant with its own records: control plans, capture results, tooling, job cards, spares and locations belong to the site where the work happens. Site scoping keeps the data of each plant isolated, which is also what makes site level evidence clean for audits.
Using the site switcher
When your account has one site, the topbar simply shows its name. With more than one site, the name becomes a dropdown; pick another site and the workspace reloads into the suite home at /app under the new context. The reload is deliberate: the whole workspace changes with the site, so a partial refresh would leave pages on stale context.
What changes when you switch
- The records in every register: you now see the data of the new site.
- The products available, since packages and entitlements are per site.
- The team you see under Access, reflecting who has access at that site.
- Master data that is site bound, such as locations, operations and characteristics.
- Your notification context, which follows the company and site.
Switching site changes what you are looking at, never where records live. A record created on one site stays on that site.
