Sessions and signing out

How to sign out of VoraSuite, why cockpit accounts are personal while floor kiosks use shared logins by design, and what happens when an account is deactivated.

Signing in to VoraSuite starts a session that stays live until you sign out. The Sign out button sits in the topbar at the top right of every signed in page, and pressing it ends your session and returns you to the login page.

Signing out

Press Sign out in the topbar. Your session ends immediately on that browser; nothing you saved is affected, and signing back in returns you to your workspace as you left it. On the floor kiosks, Sign out is on the kiosk screen itself and works the same way.

Shared devices and personal accounts

Cockpit accounts are personal: your name goes on the records you touch, so a shared cockpit login would make the record trail meaningless. On any shared computer, sign out when you step away and never save your password in a shared browser profile.

Floor kiosks are the shared exception

The capture and jobs floor kiosks are designed for shared station logins: one kiosk account per station, used by the crew working there. That is deliberate and safe because kiosk accounts hold only the narrow floor permissions and the kiosk flow records the work itself. Do not use a personal cockpit account to run a kiosk station, and do not use a kiosk login for cockpit work.

What deactivation does

When an administrator deactivates a user from the Team page, the access of that user ends and they can no longer reach the workspace. The records they created remain in place, still attributed to them, so history and evidence are unaffected. Reactivating the user restores their access without any data change.

Leaving a machine unattended

A signed in session is as good as your password to anyone at the keyboard. Lock the machine or sign out before walking away, especially on administrator accounts.
