Notifications and digests

How the in-app notification drawer works, what Acknowledge and Dismiss do, and where to set email thresholds and digest cadence per module.

VoraSuite routes alerts to you in two ways: the in-app notification drawer, opened from the Notifications button in the topbar, and email, controlled by your preferences at /access/notifications. Both are scoped to the current company, site and user.

The notification drawer

The Notifications button shows your unread count and turns amber while anything is unread. Opening it slides in the drawer from the right, listing your notifications with a severity chip on each (Critical, Urgent, Attention or Info), the time, and a link to the source record where one exists.

Acting on a notification

  • Mark read clears the unread state and keeps the item in the list.
  • Dismiss hides the notification for you. Dismissal is a per user change only; the shared record and its audit trail are untouched.
  • Acknowledge is required on notifications that carry a requires acknowledgement flag. These cannot be dismissed until acknowledged, and the acknowledgement is logged.
  • Open the linked record to act on the underlying issue directly.

Email and digest preferences

The Notifications page under My Account groups preferences by module: VoraControl, VoraTool, VoraAudit and VoraCore. For each alert family you control the in-app behavior, the email threshold and the digest cadence (daily, weekly or no digest). Critical alerts remain visible and auditable even when lower priority noise is reduced.

Newsletter opt in

The same page carries an optional newsletter subscription, separate from operational alerts. It only affects marketing email and never changes which product alerts you receive.

Preferences are per user, per company and site

Your notification preferences apply to you in the current company and site context. Other users, and your own account on another site, keep their own settings.
