Preventive maintenance plans and scheduling
How preventive maintenance plans generate scheduled jobs per tooling, and how completing a job with its checklist, findings and evidence keeps the schedule moving.
Preventive maintenance in VoraTool runs on plans that generate scheduled jobs. Plans live at /tool/preventive-maintenance/plans and the due work lives at /tool/preventive-maintenance/scheduled-jobs.
Building a plan
A maintenance plan targets specific tooling or a tooling class, and carries a frequency (an interval and a unit, for example every 3 months) and a checklist of tasks. Add checklist tasks as new tasks or pull them in from the task library. The plan register groups plans by customer then tooling, with tooling class plans listed together.
How due jobs are generated
Scheduled jobs generate automatically each day from the active plans, each carrying its tooling, due date, frequency and checklist. An administrator can also generate manually from VoraTool System, Preventive maintenance, for example right after changing plan frequencies. Overdue jobs surface on the VoraTool home needs-attention panel and in the PM Compliance report.
Completing a maintenance job
Open a scheduled job and use the Complete tab: work through the checklist results, tick Finding found during maintenance if something was found (with a required finding summary), and press Complete maintenance job. Completion records who completed the job and when, and the daily generation keeps producing the next due work per the plan frequency, so the schedule carries on without manual re-planning.
Findings and corrective work
A finding can raise a corrective job card directly: tick Create corrective job card and set its priority while completing, or use the Corrective tab afterwards. The corrective job number stays on the maintenance job so the follow-up is traceable from the maintenance record.
Cancelling and history
A scheduled job that should not run is cancelled with a required cancellation reason. The History tab keeps the completion record, any cancellation reason and the corrective job reference for each maintenance job.
