The toolroom Planning Board
How the Planning Board lays out open job cards and preventive maintenance by person and day so the toolroom manager can balance the week.
The Planning Board lives at /tool/planning/board and lays open work out by person and day so the toolroom manager can balance the week. It plans two kinds of work: open job cards and open preventive maintenance jobs.
The board
The board shows a planning window of 7 or 14 days with Previous, This week and Next controls. Unplanned work sits in a tray above the board. Drag a card from the tray onto a person and day cell to plan it, or drag it back to the tray to unplan it. A dense Visible work detail register below the board lists the same work for checking status, due date and assignment, with an Open link into the source record.
Filtering the view
Filter by search text (work, tooling, part, operation or assignee), by work type (Preventive Maintenance or Job Cards), by user, and by start date and range. Clear filters returns the full window.
What planning does and does not do
The board records planning only; it does not change due dates, statuses or workflow steps. The work itself still runs on the job card and the scheduled maintenance job. Dragging work needs the planning board management permission; everyone else can view the board read-only.
The Planning Board plans toolroom work. It is not a production schedule and does not plan production runs.
