Recording labour and evidence on a job card
How to record labour entries, attach evidence photos and files, and capture downtime minutes and external repair costs on a VoraTool job card.
Labour and evidence turn a job card into a defensible service record. Both are recorded from the job card detail modal at /tool/job-cards, on the Work and evidence tab, while the job is still open.
Recording work
The Record work form takes the person, the start date and time, the duration in minutes and the work done activity, with an optional work note. The person defaults to the job owner or to you. Saved entries appear in the Labour history with who did the work and when, and the register shows the labour total against the job.
Attaching evidence
The Evidence form takes an evidence type, one or more files and an evidence note. Press Attach evidence to save. Attached files appear in the Evidence history with the file name, who uploaded it and when, and the file count shows as a chip on the job.
Downtime and external repair cost
Downtime minutes are recorded when the job card is raised, in the Impact and evidence section of the create form, and show on the job detail afterwards. When a job goes out to a supplier, the external repair form records the dispatch and return along with a cost amount and currency and any supplier evidence files, so the cost of outside work stays on the job.
The labour and evidence forms lock once a job is closed or cancelled, so the record reflects work done while the job was live. Recording labour and recording evidence each carry their own permission; if a form is disabled, ask your administrator about your VoraTool access.
