The toolmaker jobs floor mode

The jobs kiosk at /tool/jobs/floor gives toolmakers their own cards and the open site cards, a work timer, photos and hand-off, and it keeps working through connection drops.

The jobs floor mode is a kiosk built for toolmakers working at the bench or the machine. It lives at /tool/jobs/floor, and floor toolmakers, meaning users whose VoraTool access is job-card work only, land there automatically when they sign in. There is no cockpit and no menus to get lost in.

My jobs and open site jobs

The screen opens with My jobs, the cards assigned to you, followed by the other open jobs at the site. Your own cards start with Start work. An unowned card offers Pick up and start, which assigns the card to you and starts the work in one step.

Working a card

Press Start timer when you begin and Done when you stop. The start time is shown and can be edited before you save, so the entry reflects when the work actually started. Saved entries land as labour on the same job card the cockpit sees. Add a photo lets you take or choose a photo and attaches it as evidence, with its evidence type shown on the photo strip. A card can also be flagged as waiting when work is blocked.

Hand-off with root cause

When the repair is ready, press Hand off. Pick the root cause (some categories require a root cause note), the corrective action and the outcome, then press Hand off to tryout. The card moves to ready for tryout for the tryout and release flow in the cockpit.

Working through connection drops

The kiosk keeps working when the wifi drops. Entries and photos are kept on the device and sync automatically when the connection returns, carrying who did the work and the true time it happened. The header chip shows Offline with a count of items waiting to sync, then Syncing, then All work synced, and a Working offline banner confirms you can keep logging work and taking photos.

Continuity, not full offline

The kiosk needs a connection to sign in and load its working set. After that it rides out connection drops until it can sync again.
